Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
About Coaching
What is Coaching?
Coaching is a method of directing individuals or groups toward self improvement, balance, and achievement. Coaches listen, discuss, and encourage clients to set goals and mentor, motivate, and support them to take action to achieve their desired results.
Will a coach yell at me like coaches in a sports game?
No. Coaching is a gentle process that allows your true spirit to flourish and feel nurtured so that when you do encounter the big challenges in life and make the scary plays, you are supported. Coaches motivate, hold the client accountable, support, and empower.
Do I need a coach?
If you’re unhappy but not sure why, a coach can help you identify what’s not working in your life and help you set goals to remedy the situation and find happiness. If you already know what’s not working in your life but have difficulty making the changes needed to remedy the problem(s) a coach will help you discover the steps and actions and empower you to make the changes.
How do I pick a coach?
Find someone you resonate with—someone you feel hears your problems and concerns, and who understands your dilemmas and struggles as well as someone who helps you celebrate joys and accomplishments. It’s very important that you feel you can express yourself without reservation and that you work with someone who helps you manifest positive change in your life.
